Alter in your Inner Altar
You are a Walking Temple
Alter in your Inner Altar
When discipline becomes your friend
and intention your mindset
you begin to notice changes from within.
Culture, traditions, society and your old values
wash away.
what’s left is a pure you at your centre
that begins to shine through the cracks.
Keep going, keep growing.
Your altar is the centre of your own inner temple.
It’s time to become and be more YOU.
The Inner Altar
Many of us are pretty good at creating altars, we can make it pleasing to all of our five sensory organs: taste, smell, sight, touch and sound. Perfect.
Now if you were to do the same internally what would that experience be like?
Many of us would go blank…
The real universe is happening within us and yet we are unable to prepare our internal world to greet the divine who lives within each of us. How is this even possible or allowed?
Preparation is key
The yogic sciences are time tested. Many enlightened spiritual souls have walked the soil of India, this is not by coincidence. Never have I heard a story of “…and yes one day I accidentally woke up enlightened”. Never.
There has always been a discipline that has directed the seeker internally. To their heart, towards the light of their own soul. Never an easy path yet always a path worth committing to.
No two journey’s are the same. We each grow through our Karmas and our life Dharma.
Make Discipline your new Best Friend
Every story speaks of passion over desire. That passion gives rise to willingness and through that willingness we earn our discipline.
Every Master has had to repeatedly practice their craft through inner devotion and discipline.
You never have to look far to understand yours. First begin by being kinder to this body gifted to you.
“Love your Body
Mind your Thoughts”
Once you speak kindness, you’ll feel your emotions shift and with healing whirling within you, the path begins to become clear.
“ah yes, I forgot I actually Love to…”
“I never knew I would be naturally gifted at…”
Never worry your mind because that which you are seeking is seeking you too.
You are a magnet that will attract what you need as your mind and body journey into its own healing.
Let’s talk Chakras
You may be aware of 7 main Chakra bodies that run along the spine. We each have these spinning energy bodies. From the root (by the anus) to the crown (top most point of the head).
From the Head to the Root:
Sahasara: Crown Chakra
Ajna: Third eye Chakra
Vishuddha: Throat Chakra
Anahata: Heart Chakra
Manipura: Solar Plexus Chakra
Swadisthana: Sacral Chakra
Muladhara: Root Chakra
The Marma Points
Did you know there are 108 Energy points that are given significance in the Vedic sciences, these are called Marma points. 7 of the 108 points are the Chakras mentioned above.
Throughout the body there are energy points even beyond the 108 Marma points. In fact, many Marma points can be found at each of the joints in the body including each phalange on the toes and fingers.
This is why physical Yoga used to be an essential spiritual physical practice to help detox, open and clear each of these energy centres.
The Asana postures are performed to ready this body of ours into an internal Altar.
When energy points are clear and clean sitting in Meditation becomes even more possible.
