The Inner Juke Box
What memory keeps playing in your Mind’s Eye?
What memory keeps playing in your Mind’s Eye?
The inner juke box
Ida – the left self is connected to the moon – the mother
Pingala – the right self is connected to the sun – the father
Sushumna – the balance point in the centre – is you
Memories play on repeat.
Visions create adventure.
Your mind is playing a tune from its own personal juke box
of songs unique for you and your growth.
The heart beats and a song in your mind begins to play.
The song is your internal tune.
No one else has your rhythm or beat.
Your visions are yours.
Your thoughts are yours.
It’s time to tune into visions and thoughts
that heal you.
Memories
Memories are an interesting dimension to our past. They carry a feeling that fills our body. Memories aren’t something another can see, feel, hear, smell or taste. You can describe your own experience yet no one else will truly understand its depths but you.
The questions to ask yourself are:
Is this memory healing me or is it hindering my growth?
Does the memory fuel and ignite my passion?
Does this memory itself need healing?
Healing memories can unblock visions and your ability to explore your own Conscious Whispers experience.
How does one heal a memory that has been playing on repeat?
There is a Shamanic technique that I read and heard about. It is based on telling your story from the point of view that you are the hero, the warrior on a journey.
Begin by writing out the memory or story in your mind’s eye on how you see it, feel it and fully experience it right now. Be honest. The more you can reveal the deeper the healing and the more likely it is the roots can be blessed, nourished and released.
On seeing the story written, read it out loud, it may help to record yourself. Remember this is all about creating a supportive healing environment for you. If you don’t wish to do this alone you can call upon a guide, healer, therapist from your heart and have someone you trust support you.
The next step is to re-write the story from Victim, “this happened TO me” to the Warrior’s story “this happened FOR me”. Take your time. Move from sentence to sentence. As you re-write begin to ask yourself questions such as:
What did I learn about myself in this experience?
What has since become stronger within me?
What do I now have the opportunity to work on for myself?
What is difficult for me to re-write?
Am I holding any fears that may first need to be shifted and healed?
Is the fear serving me or is it holding me back?
What can I do now to empower myself?
Has my courage since the situation grown?
