To Start is to End

The journey of RNA and DNA

Watch On YouTube Listen to Podcast

To Start is to End

To start, is to say goodbye to an older version of you.

Just like every solar return

when your new birthday arrives

we celebrate the past year, the growth.

Here, we celebrate the new year ahead of time.

Be grateful no matter where you are in your journey.

Be in faith.

“This is all happening for my own internal growth”

To rebuild yourself moment to moment

Let’s approach this from the view point of our inner biology.

DNA is a double stranded Master Key of the cell, it is the cell’s intelligence. It is only ever broken down in special circumstances but it never breaks down back into RNA strands.  It’s life span is long and it stores information, has good stability and forms a double helix

RNA on the other hand takes a copy of the DNA but it isn’t the original DNA, just a snapshot of it. Unlike DNA it doesn’t store information but it uses information for short term adventures. This means it is less stable and often seen as a single strand in many shapes.

When DNA opens up slightly RNA is able to copy its code and from this builds a complementary RNA strand. DNA will close itself back up and will remain copied but unchanged.

As a rule:

DNA is a permanent genetic code within the nucleus of our cells.

RNA is made from DNA, used and degraded after some time.

RNA does not overwrite DNA.

The RARE exceptions:

HIV – new DNA is added in through viral RNA into the original DNA

Retrotransposons – RNA copies itself back into the DNA, not replacing DNA but adding itself on.

RNA editing – once RNA is copied from the DNA it alters itself and changes the RNA sequence. DNA remains the same. Used for flexibility not permanence.

Our journey is predestined by the stars (or through our parents DNA)

The DNA we are born with is neither new nor random.

DNA is taken from each parent and is present at the time of fertilisation. From the very first cell known as the zygote. Every other cell in the body is a descendant of that one cell.

DNA is made through replication.

First the DNA strands separate as if being unzipped.

Each strand is now a template.

New complimentary strands are built.

Creating two identical DNA molecules.

When does this occur?

During growth, healing and throughout our lives. By now your DNA has already copied itself millions/billions or trillions of times

DNA from birth

Our DNA is mostly fixed from the time of the zygote. Every cell begins with the same DNA. Immune cells can intentionally rearrange DNA to help support life for our body. Mutations can occur slowly over time.

The take away:

Although we can’t control what happens in life outside of us, we can help support the life that happens within us. When we treat ourselves well our RNA and DNA respond positively. Next time they replicate give them something amazing to copy and duplicate within you. Your DNA may hold your destiny but within you, you hold the key of how you choose to grow within.

End the old you

begin anew.
